Perry pulls out of Deutshe Bank Championship

American Kenny Perry has withdrawn from the Deutsche Bank Championship, ending his run in the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs.

Perry, 50, was complaining of exhaustion and told officials he needed to go home to Kentucky and get some rest.

Perry plans to play on both the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour next season.

Perry is 93rd in the FedEx Cup standings and would have needed a strong week to advance to the next round of the playoffs in Chicago next week.
