Golf 2012 - pic and video wrap

Another great year in golf saw South Africans so nearly claim half the majors; Branden Grace announce himself with a loudhailer on his rookie European season; Rory McIlroy turn his talent into dominance; Tiger Woods finally show us that he still has the drive to get back to the top, and Europe display passion and determination in bucketloads on the final day of the Ryder Cup.

In the majors it was oh-so close for Louis Oosthuizen at the US Masters, being pipped by a wonder shot from Bubba Watson on the second play-off hole; Webb Simpson claimed his maiden slam at the US Open; Ernie Els almost apologetically captured the Open after a heartbreaking meltdown by Adam Scott, and Rory McIlroy found incredible late-season form to win the PGA and then two FedEx Cup play-off events.
