Two aces on day 1 of SAGES Nationals

Over 300 golfers teed it up in Monday’s first round of the Sanlam SAGES National Tournament played on both the Koro Creek Golf Estate and Zebula Golf Estate & Spa golf courses on Monday.

The biggest senior amateur tournament in South Africa is played in a team format for the first two days, followed by an individual competition over the final two days.

Eastern Province A and East Rand led the scoring on day one with a betterball total of 82 at Zebula, followed by Western Province A on 84.

The first day also featured two holes-in-one. Both came at Zebula, where Clive Johnstone from the Far North branch and Rupert Bosch from Boland scored their aces.
