Pasuwa praises Zekumbawira

On Sunday, Dynamos beat Highlanders 4-0 to win the Bob 89 Super Cup on a 6-1 aggregate and coach Callisto Pasuwa was happy with the team’s performance, and mainly his new striker Francisco Zekumbawira from Hwange Mine.

The striker made his debut for the Glamour Boys in the game and made huge impression in his first outing.

Pasuwa said that he believes that the striker will fit in well in the team’s system, looking at the way he played after just few days of training with the other players.

Dynamos paid US $15 000 for the loan deal just few days before the second leg of the Bob 89 Super Cup against Highlanders, and the forward played on Sunday.

“He did well in the game on Sunday and I know he will have a good stay here. We needed his services, and though it took time before we could sign him, we are happy that he is finally here. We just want him to feel at home and play to the best of his abilities,” Pasuwa said.

He said that on Sunday in the showdown between the country’s two biggest football clubs, the forward was thrown into the deep end and did very well. DeMbare are now preparing for the CAF Champions League return match to Lesotho Correctional Services in Maseru this weekend, and Pasuwa believes they can carry on from where they left off in the first leg at home where they won 3-0.
