Masuku in Belgium for trials

Bantu Rovers midfielder Nqobizitha Masuku is currently on a week-long trial with Belgium-based outfit Cercle Brugge.

Wilbert Sibanda, a public relations officer for Rovers, expressed faith that Masuku can convince the ‘Green and Black’ to offer him a contract.

Sibanda is encouraged by the success of other African players to forge successful careers in the Pro League, which is often used as a spring-board to Europe’s top divisions.

“He is a good player and when Brugge wanted a player we thought Masuku was the right player,” said Sibanda.

“He is on top of his game and his confidence is high. Personally I know he can make it in Belgium but now it is all up to him to do what he is supposed to do – play his game and win a contract. “There are other players who have gone there before and did very well and I hope he can do the same,” concluded Sibanda.
