Sodomba to play in Dubai

Zimbabwe international Edward Sodomba has joined Dubai club Al Ittihad Kalba from Sudanese outfit Al Hilal.

The experienced forward has signed a six-month contract after his good showing in the past CAF Champions League where he was the top scorer with 10 goals.

There were other teams from Sudan, Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia interested in his services but Sodomba opted for Al Ittihad Kalba on a short- term deal.

The former Dynamos striker is excited about the move and he told supersport.com that he is confident his game will develop at his new employers.

“I am happy,” he said. “You know Asia is where top players are going these days. “There were many teams interested even in Sudan but I think this move is good for me. As a player I need to grow and I think I am growing as far as playing football is concerned. I am happy with the move. I just have to go there and play my game,” concluded the 29-year-old.
