FC Platinum chase Katebe

Dynamos have included Zambian defender Aaron Katebe in their Caf Champions League squad.

They thought they had signed him from Hwange but it seems the player wants to join his countryman at FC Platinum, Tenant Chilumba, who has been appointed as the new coach there.

Now the defender, who was once called up to the Copper Bullets squad, could be destined for Platinum instead of Dynamos. Chilumba has revealed he is talking to the player with the intention of bringing him to the richest club in Zimbabwe.

He said that they need a defender of his calibre at the team to help them fight for trophies in the upcoming season.

“We are talking to Aaron and as far as we are concerned he is still Hwange player and we want to talk to them and see if we can have him here,” said Chilumba.

“I want us to build a team that will fight for honours this season and we hope the deal will go through. He has been to our training sessions but he didn’t train. He just watched. We really want him in the team next season,” concluded Chilumba.
