Dynamos In Caf race

League and cup champions Dynamos will be playing in the African Champions League but not all their players are registered with Caf due to the fact that they have not agreed with the club on their contracts.

The players in question are Milton Makapa, Tichaone Mabvura and Devon Chafa, whose experience could prove invaluable in the continental competition.

The trio’s contracts came to an end in December and although the team have submitted their names to Caf, they may not play when the tournament starts in March.

DeMbare chairman Kenny Mubaiwa told supersport.com that they are working around the clock to have all the players signed and given contracts by the club.

He said they had to submit the names to Caf to avoid the US$500 penalty for late registration.

“It is not really a big issue though we know that it is important to tie the players to the club by finalising their contract,” Mubaiwa said.

“We are working on that right now. As we are starting camp today we will have to meet all the players and see where each one of them stands with the team. We want to have all the players have their contracts by the end of this month so that when we start the tournament they are all happy with the team,” concluded Mubaiwa.
