FC Platinum line up striker
After losing a few players to Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions Dynamos, FC Platinum are taking steps to replenish their stocks in preparation for the new season.
FC Platinum are looking at bringing in Shabanie Mine striker Tarisai Rukanda to beef up their options in the attacking third of the field.
Rukanda was a marvel to watch last season where he combined superbly with top goal scorer Nelson Masiwisa, who was on loan from FC Platinum. FC Platinum want the two strikers to play together again, but this time for their side.
Coach Tendai Chikuni tells supersport.com that they will do what they can to recruit Rukanda.
“Yes we would love to sign Tarasai as he is one striker that we think would help the team in the new season,” said Chikuni.
“We need to beef up the squad for the next season as we want to be fighting for more honours this time around,” he added.
Platinum FC finished sixth in the standings this past campaign, accumulating 45 points from their 30 games – 24 points adrift of Dynamos.
