Dynamos sign keeper Mhari

Zimbabwean league and cup champions Dynamos are continuing to bolster their squad as they prepare for their domestic and continental commitments next year.

The team will be playing in the Caf Champions League in 2013, and have signed goalkeeper Petros Mhari from Hwange Mine to strengthen their rearguard.

Mhari, an experienced campaigner between the posts, will vie with George Chikova for regular game-time at the club.

DeMbare secretary Raymond Kazembe is confident Mhari, who has been handed a one-year contract, will add value to Dynamos, and feels it is crucial the side has depth given their obligations in the new season.

Kazembe told supersport.com that his employers aim to make further signings to this end.

“We have signed Mhari to strengthen our last line of defence. We have given him a one-year contract because we know he is a good prospect and we want to keep him in the team even longer after this season.”

“We want to have a very strong team in all departments and that’s why we are looking at different players,” he concluded.

Dynamos, with 69 points, claimed league honours by two points ahead of closest rivals Highlanders this year.
