How Mine join Black Rhinos, who won the Northern Region title; Central Region champions Tripple B, and Triangle who clinched the Eastern Region Division One title.
These teams take the places of Quelaton (Southern Region), Hardbody (Central Region), Blue Rangers and Gunners (Northern Region) who were all relegated from the Premier League which ended on 18 November, with Dynamos winning the title.
For the first time, the towns of Beitbridge and Chiredzi will see Premier League football thanks to Tripple B and Triangle’s promotions respectively.
Zifa are the ones who are responsible for Division one and CEO Jonathan Mashingaidze told supersport.com that they happy with the running of the league so far.
“We congratulate all the four teams from the regions for their promotion to the Premiership and the regions for ensuring a smooth running of business and completion of the leagues in good time,” he said.
“All the teams that played in Division one this season did very well and we are happy with their conduct,” Mashingaidze concluded.
He said the organisation was also happy that there was no controversy this season and it shows the level of administration and refereeing has improved.
