Ruling in favour of Dynamos
Castle Lager League leaders and potential champions Dynamos won the case they were facing against Hwange at the Committee for Arbitration Centre (CAC) and they have retained their three points.
Hwange took Dynamos to the Arbitration Centre after the game they lost 4-2 to DeMbare early in the season, where they played with only their team manager on the bench after their coaches were rushed to the hospital in what they said to be a beating by Dynamos bouncers.
Had the case gone against the leaders, they would have had to replay the game at a neutral venue – where they would have been under pressure to get a result.
On Friday night, the CAC ruled in favour of Dynamos which means if they win their game against Hardbody at Ascot Stadium in Gweru on Sunday – they will successfully defend their league title.
A draw is likely to be enough for DeMbare against the recently relegated side, as their goal difference is far superior to that of Highlanders – who take on Blue Rangers in their final game of the season.
With two points being the difference between the two sides, Bosso’s only real chance would be if Dynamos choke on the day and they claim victory in their clash.
