Dynamos sweat over Hwange case

Dynamos are currently on top of the Castle Lager League table, but even if they beat Hardbody on Sunday, they may not be crowned champions just yet.

The reason for that is that they have a pending case against 11th-placed Hwange following an incident in the early stages of the season.

In their second round game, Dynamos beat their opponents 4-2, but the game was marred by controversy.

Hwange played with only their team manager on the bench, while their coaches were rushed to the hospital after allegedly being beaten by DeMbare bouncers.

This means that if the ruling goes in favour of Hwange and they win the case, the game will be have to be replayed at a neutral venue, where Dynamos would have to ensure that they get a victory to ensure that they do not have anything deducted from their current points total.

As a result, Sunday may not be the judgement day between Dynamos and Highlanders, who are second on the table – two points adrift of their title rivals.

The Commercial Arbitration Centre was sitting on Wednesday to finalise the case but a conclusion has not yet been reached.
