Zambian fans urged to turn up

Chipolopolo Soccer Fans Association (CSFA) chairperson Yotam Mwanza has urged every Zambian to paint the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium orange when the national team take on Lesotho in Group D World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

By Thursday night, the tickets for the game were believed to have been sold out and Mwanza said that they are expecting a full house on the day.

He said that with the right attitude from the supporters, the players will be encouraged to go all out and win the game.

“It is encouraging to notice that the tickets for the Saturday game against Lesotho sold like hot cakes. This shows that the supporters want to come and support their team and that’s why we urge every football loving Zambian to come to the stadium and show their support by wearing their orange shirts.”

“We want to win the game even before we even play just by the support we show in the stands. These are important games so we need everyone to be there,” Mwanza said.

Zambia will be under some pressure ahead of the game after Ghana saw off Sudan on Friday night to move to the top of the group.
