Dynamos edge out Zanaco

Zambian Super League giants Power Dynamos and Zanaco played each other in friendly match in which the former won 2 - 0 at Arthur Davies Stadium on Thursday.

Power Dynamos’ goals were scored in each half by Simon Bwalya and Kamuzati Kabwe. Bwalya headed Power in front in the 42nd minute while Kabwe scored through a free kick in the 79th minute.

Both Power Dynamos and Zanaco will represent Zambia in the 2013 Confederation of African Football (CAF) club competitions.

Confederations Cup envoys Power Dynamos will host Recreativo de Caala of Angola on 16th February while Zanaco will host Mbabane Swallows in the Champions League a day later.

Both teams have brought in new players and the aim of the friendly match was to enhance coordination and to assess the players’ fitness levels.

The Zambian football league is currently in recess and action is expected to start in the second week of March.
