African champions back in training



African champions Zambia resumed training 2nd January as they continued to shape up for the defence of the Africa Cup title they won last February.

The reigning kings of African football, who took time off on January 1, were joined at the commencement of Wednesday training in the New Year by defence pillar Stoppila Sunzu.

Chipolopolo will complement its intensive training sessions with international matches against Angola on Saturday 5th January in Johannesburg, Morocco on 8th January also in Johannesburg and Norway at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday 12th January.

Zambia opens her title defence against Ethiopia on 21st January before taking on Nigeria on the 25th and Burkina Faso on the 29th - at Mbombela.
