Zambia up five places in Fifa rankings
Zambia has continued to rise on the global football rankings with Chipolopolo ending the year of her African championship triumph in 34th place in the world.
The Kings of African football moved up five places from their November position of 39.
According to the latest Coca Cola/FIFA rankings released Wednesday, the reigning African champions have maintained 5th place in Africa.
The world top ten remained the same, with reigning world and European champions Spain finishing the year at the summit for the fifth time in succession – an achievement which earned them the ‘Team of the Year’ title – followed by Germany, Argentina and Italy (4th, up 1).
