Coach elated with Barclays Cup win

Napsa Stars coach Peter Kaumba was on cloud nine after his team produced a stirring comeback to beat favourites Power Dynamos 4-2 on post match penalties after both teams drew 4-4 after the extra time.

Kaumba had special praise for his keeper who saved two penalties to deny Power Dynamos another title.

"I am so happy this is a special day for me and the entire playing unit .This win never came easy as we had to fight and come from behind twice despite our opponents having the upper hand we had self belief and my players never gave up even when it looked like our opponents would carry the day."

"Football is about team work and that is what we managed to do and held on to the last minute. It was a very tough game considering Dynamos are a very good side but i want to thank God for the win which came at the right time and will be the antidote to motivate the players and the entire technical bench," Kaumba told supersport.com.

Kaumba was also elated for being nominated as the coach of the tournament as he dedicated the prize to his family promising that the Lusaka based side would come back to the 2013 league season stronger.

"Getting the coach of the tournament award is a great achievement for me and this was made possible by my players who fought relentlessly. I want to dedicate my award to my family and the players and hope that we will use this victory to give out best in the league next season," he added.
