Mwesigwa extends Ordabasy contract
Uganda Cranes defender Andy Mwesigwa has extended his contract with Kazakhstan side FC Ordabasy for one more year.
The defender is now in camp Antaliya (Turkey) with the rest of his teammates before the start of the new season on March 9.
“Andrew is big star in this team,’’ said his agent Maric Darko, adding, “The club has big plans in future and they thought it important to sign the Cranes capitain.’’
Ordabasy’s objective this season is to finish among the top three or better still to win the cup that would garantee them European football next year.
“The president of Kazakhstan team offered fantastic conditions for Andrew and (Andrew) was not in any doubt about staying for third consecutive year in FC Ordabassy,’’ added Darko, the Serbian agent.
After the first two weeks of their new season, Mwesigwa will shift atention to the World Cup qualifiers, where he leads the Cranes to Liberia hoping to get a decent result to stay their slim chances of making Brazil 2014.
