Ten man SC Villa held
SC Villa stuttered in their pursuit of table leaders Maroons when they drew their second consecutive Bell Super League match on Saturday.
The record 16-time league winners were held to a goalless draw by Simba at Bombo just a week after drawing 2-2 with Police.
The Jogoos, who ended the game 10 men after Allan Kizza saw red on 36 minutes for dangerous play, now drop to third in the standings.
They are level on 18 points with Express, who beat Water 2-0, but have an inferior goal difference to the Red Eagles’. Simba remain fourth on 16 points.
It wasn’t the nicest of games to watch, Simba having four of their players – Gilbert Obangala, Denis Kwikiriza, Ronald Kiiza and Robinson Okello all entering the referee’s book. Hood Kaweesa was also booked for Villa.
