Entebbe shoot down soldiers
Entebbe Young moved to fifth place in the Bell Super League standings after edging Simba 1-0 at Nakivubo on Saturday.
Farouk Kiyembe scored the all-important goal for the league newcomers in the first half as they put the soldiers to the sword.
Entebbe are now fifth on 10 points but a hefty 12 behind leaders Maroons. Despite the defeat, however, Simba remain a place above Entebbe, on 15 points.
Enjoying the debut season in the topflight league, Entebbe went ahead on 35 minutes when Kiyembe struck and battled all afternoon against the hard battling soldiers.
The battle saw two Entebbe players – Tom Hire and Geofrey Mutesasira – booked during the feisty encounter but the home side held on for only their third victory of the campaign.
