Bidco announce 11 signings

Bell Super League side Bidco have announced the capture of 11 players ahead of the 2012/13 season due to start on September 14.

After recruiting coach Kefa Kisala from Masaka in offseason, the club, who survived relegation last campaign, are now looking to finish in the top five next campaign.

“I am pleasured to have these players and now we can concentrate on training to get to our full fitness in time for the new season,” said Kisala.

Among the new recruits include goalkeeper Mohammed Didi (Water), defender William Kayondo and midfielder Jackson Kibirige (Police), plus midfielder Hashim Ssempala (Express).

Others are defender Asuman Bajampola (Wama), Aziz Kemba (Sec FC) and Abdul Mayanja (free agent).

Kisala also raided his former Masaka side for defender Dan Ssebuliba, midfielders Bruhani Matovu, Martin Kivumbi and striker Mustafa Kasolo.

''Much as financially powerful local clubs like Victoria University have recruited massively from both local and foreign clubs, we have decided to use the limited resources from the club directors to recruit the players,” argued Kisala.

“We feel they will help the club compete for the top five positions in the league.”

Adam Kizza, William Otongo, Madi Byabasaija, Herbert Kakande, Hakim Magombe, Patrick Asiku, Ali Maganda, Herbert Odopio, Jimmy Jalendo, Hussein Kato and Joshua Masene are the old players retained by the club.
