Simba sets sights on SC Villa

Simba take on SC Villa on Friday looking to keep pace with leaders URA and the army side’s coach Fred Kajoba believes this is the game they must win to stay on course.

“We have to beat Villa on Friday and then wait for URA,” Kajoba told SuperSport.com ahead of their Bell Super League clash with the Jogoos.

“We want to beat them (URA) home and away. The season has just started, yes, but URA are running away early. We always beat the so called giants and on Friday, Villa will be one of them. I respect them but if we are to challenge with URA, we must beat direct rivals.”

The Bombo-based side took four points off Villa last season and should they post victory at Nakivubo on Friday, it will be their third from five games, and Villa’s second defeat in the same number of matches.

After four games, Simba lie sixth on seven points, six off the pace-setters’ URA. But the tax collectors have played a game more. Villa remain in the bottom three on three points after four games.
