Real's quest for UCL La Décima

The start of the 2012-13 Uefa Champions League season will once again be greeted with rumblings of La Décima with Real Madrid’s quest for a 10th Champions League title.

The 2012-13 Uefa Champions League season will be broadcast live on SuperSport and in High Definition.

Since that fateful night in Glasgow in 2002, when Zinedine Zidane spectacularly volleyed Real to a ninth title, talk of a 10th, La Décima, gathers steam in the Spanish capital leading up to the start of Europe’s foremost club competition.

Ten years on and it’s no different this time around: Real’s faithful start the new campaign with the belief that this is the year the club reaches double figures.

As the Champions League gets underway this week, first on the agenda for Real, if they are to realise the dream of a tenth title, is to successfully navigate their way out of this season’s group of death - Group D - which is made up of former champions in Ajax Amsterdam and Borussia Dortmund and an emerging superpower in Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho’s men kick off the new campaign with what is set to be an explosive fixture against City in Madrid live on SS2HD and SS3 from 8pm CAT.

IMPORTANT CHANGES You might have heard of the big changes regarding the DStv satellite and channel numbering, starting on October 1. Don’t be confused – your regular SuperSport Standard Definition channels remain as they are.

However, SuperSport’s four High Definition channel numbers will change, ensuring sports fans a seamless journey through channels 200 to 214.

From October 1, HD 1 can be found on channel 211, HD 2 on 212, HD 3 on 213 and HD 4 on 214. Remember, everything else on SuperSport stays as it is.
