Poulsen names squad for Cameroon friendly



Taifa Stars head Coach Kim Poulsen has named a 21 man squad for the friendly game against Indomitable Lions of Cameroon which will be staged on February 6 in Dar es Salaam.

Stars will miss the services of Azam FC striker John Bocco who is still recovering from an injury, while Simba SC defender Amir Maftah has been dropped from the team.

"Cameroon are a very strong opponents; they have top players like Samuel Eto'o, Alex Song and many others. It will be a good game for our players, who are ready to play with the best team in Africa," Poulsen told supersport.com.

"We played two competitive games against Zambia, and Ethiopia. And this one will be another tough game for us, and it will help us to build the team for our next World cup qualifiers game against Morocco," he added.

Taifa Stars Squad:

Goalkeepers: Juma Kaseja, Mwadini Ally, Aishi Manula.

Defenders: Erasto Nyoni, Nassor Maoud 'chollo', Aggrey Morrice, Nadir Haroub, Kevin Yondani, Shomari Kapombe, Issa Rashid.

Midfielders: Amri Kiemba, Simon Msuva, Frank Domayo, Shaaban Nditi, Abubakar Salum 'Sureboy', Khamis Mcha, Athumani iddi 'Chuji', Mwinyi Kazimoto.

Forwards: Mrisho Ngassa, Thomas Ulimwengu, Mbwana Samatta.
