Simba and Tusker in stalemate



Tanzania champions Simba SC played to a 1-1 draw against Kenyan side Tusker FC in the Mapinduzi Cup group A clash on Friday at the Amani Stadium in Zanzibar.

Both teams went in the game having won their opening games emphatically with Simba beating 4-2 past Jamhuri as Tusker thrashed 5-1 past Bandari.

Haruna Moshi gave Simba a 1-0 lead over Tusker, with a fantastic strike early in the 18th minute.

With few minutes to the break, Tusker grabbed an equalizer to make it 1-1 thanks to fine strike from Khalid Aucho.

Tusker lead group A on a goal difference margin with four points, while Simba stay second on same points.
