Saintfiet headed to Yanga

Former Nigeria Technical Director Tom Saintfiet is set to take over Tanzania giants Yanga with immediate effect SuperSport.com can reveal.

Saintfiet who has been in his native Belgium was expected to arrive in Dar es Salaam,Tanzania on Tuesday and immediately embark on preparing the Cecafa Kagame cup defending champions.

"Yanga want me to start work immediately since they have agreed to all my requests. My wish was to coach a national team but with the renewed interest I will have to settle for club level and help them as they continue preparations with Cecafa Kagame Cup."

"I will be travelling to Tanzania and I will get a brief on my job description," Saintfiet told SuperSport.com.

Yanga had earlier last week considered former Harambee Stars coach Jacob "Ghost"Mulee for the job but settled on the experienced 39 year old tactician who has also coached Namibia, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia national teams.
