Blackberry ready for Kagame Cup
Kenyan international George ‘Blackberry’ Odhiambo is set to make his debut at the Cecafa Kagame Cup.
The 2010 Kenyan Premier League Player of the Year joined Tanzanian side Azam last month after his contract with Danish team Randers was cancelled.
SuperSport.com caught up with the former Gor Mahia striker ahead of this year’s event.
SuperSport.com: George how have you found Dar es Salaam since you moved to Azam FC?
Blackberry: Dar es Salaam is a nice city, and it’s very hot. Everything is fine since I came here, so everything will be fine when I start playing.
SuperSport.com: How do you find the relationship with the players here at Azam?
Blackberry: Since I came in, I have been catching up with them better. Everything will be fine, I have been talking with everyone – they like football, I like football. I hope we will cooperate well together.
SuperSport.com: Cecafa Kagame Cup kicks off in two weeks time, are you looking forward to this tournament?
Blackberry: I think it will be a tough tournament for all the teams, but me as an Azam FC player – I will work hard so as to give something for my club in this tournament, together with the team.
