Dane to coach Ngorongoro Heroes
Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) have officially appointed Dane Jakob Michelsen as the new man incharge of the Youth team 'Ngorongoro Heroes.'
Michelsen takes the role after Kim Poulsen was promoted to be Taifa Stars head coach.
TFF secretary general Angetile Osiah said that the Dane had signed a one-year contract.
Michelsen started coaching a first division side Hobro IK in Denmark and he has a Uefa ‘A’ coaching license and youth coaching license from the Danish Football Association (DBU).
“The important thing for me and TFF is to win games. And also to develop and discover new talents from the U17 and U20 ranks, who will be selected to represent the country at different levels,”said Michelsen.
Meanwhile, the Ngorongoro heroes will play two friendly matches against Egypt's Youth team in Cairo, and two more against Rwanda before their game against Nigeria's Flying Eagles in Dar es Salaam later in July.
they face Egypt on July 3 and July 5 before taking on Rwanda on July 14 and July 16 as they prepare for the African Youth Championships qualifiers.
