Serbian coach for Simba
Serbian coach Milovan Cirkovic has signed a six month deal with in Dar es Salaam on Monday.
Milovan who was Simba’s coach in 2008/09 before quitting, replaces Ugandan Moses Basena who was sacked for poor display during the first round of Vodacom Premier League.
Simba technical committee chairman, Ibrahim Masoud Maestro said, "We gave him a short term contract because we want to see if he can deliver something different. After that period we will sit on the table and decide."
"I agreed to sign because they gave me good offer and i know Simba is a good team and this is new leadership I believe we can work as a team and deliver,” Milovan said.
"I have an idea with the players and condition of Simba so we will try to do something better," he added.
According to insiders, Milovan will pocket $6000 per month.
Simba lead the table with 28 points followed by defending champions, Yanga who have 27.
The second leg of the league will resume in mid January.
