Cranes arrive in Dar for Cecafa
Uganda Cranes will hold their first training session on Thursday morning after arriving safely in Dar es Salaam.
The national team touched down at Nyerere International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, ready to attempt winning their 12th Cecafa title.
Ethiopian-based Cranes players Robert Odongkara, Isaac Isinde, Sula Matovu and Mike Sserumaga made an early entrance to Tanzania.
“Coach Bobby Williamson will have to take his boys through intensified exercises to catch up with the hot temperatures here that range between 27-30 degrees,” said Rogers Mulindwa, Fufa publicist, from Dar es Salaam.
The Cranes arrived just minutes after Amavubi of Rwanda also landed, with Ugandan goalkeeper trainer Ibrahim Mugisha part of the Rwandan delegation.
Uganda open their campaign against Zanzibar on Friday. Somalia and Burundi complete Group B.
