Eagles beat Rotterdam

Nigeria shrugged off a lack luster outing against Cape Verde and beat Sparta Rotterdam in a game played behind closed doors in Faro Portugal.

The Eagles attacked non stop and showed that they could bare claws after all. They were rewarded when Emenike put them ahead at the end of a perfect Mikel Obi pass in the 14th minute.

However it was Ahmed Musa sporting a new blond mane for Afcon 2013 that ran the Dutch dizzy but just could not convert.

Despite Yobo having a monster game the Europeans did threaten especially through dangerman, Donovan Deekman spotting number 11 jersey but first Enyeama and then Agbim in the 2nd half snuffed him out..

Still tinkering with the team and substituting eight times Keshi told Supersport.com after the game “ we are almost there”. Nigeria is expected to arrive in South Africa on the 15th.
