Ideye, Omeruo impress in Faro

Striker, Brown Ideye and defender, Kenneth Omeruo were among the leading lights in the latest training session of the Nigeria national team in Faro as the squad intensifies preparations for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Sources close to supersport.com revealed that the Dynamo Kiev attacker, Ideye and Omeruo who has been in compelling form for Dutch Eredivisie side, ADO Den Haag impressed the coaches with their displays in the team’s last training session on Saturday.

Meanwhile, two more players; Uche Kalu who plays in the Turkish second division with Rizespor and Bright Dike who plies his trade with the Major League Soccer (MLS) club, Portland Timbers were the latest to arrive in Faro as the number of players in camp continues to increase.

Both players arrived around 6pm Portuguese time shortly after the Saturday evening training session.

Emmanuel Emenike, Raheem Lawal, Ahmed Musa and Ogenyin Onazi are expected in camp on Sunday.
