Aluko awaits Nigeria call

Hull City attacking winger, Sone Aluko has declared that he is ready to answer Nigeria's call for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Aluko has been used upfront at Hull City by manager Steve Bruce has seen him net eight times this term and his performance is being monitored by the Nigerian selectors.

But the 23-year-old has said he has no right to "demand to play" for Nigeria.

"It's one of those things where if it comes, it comes. I'd be happy and I'd go because everyone wants to represent their country.

"But no one has a right to play and no one can demand to play. If the call doesn't come then I'll carry on playing here and doing what I do.

"Club football is your bread and butter and that's the most important thing for me at this time," Aluko told the Mail.

Aluko was last called up by Nigeria manager, Stephen Keshi in May this year while still at Glasgow Rangers.

The former England Under19 player made his debut for Nigeria's Super Eagles against Republic of Ireland in an international friendly in 2009.
