Real's Benzema caught speeding
Spanish police say Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema was caught for speeding at more than 100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) above the limit.
Police told The Associated Press on Thursday that Benzema has been charged with reckless driving after being caught going 216 kph (134 mph) in a speed zone of 100 kph in Madrid on February 3. Police say the France international faces losing his license and a fine.
In June 2011, Benzema was fined for reckless driving when police caught him racing through the city centre on the Mediterranean island Ibiza.
Madrid play Barcelona on Saturday in the Spanish league before visiting Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday.
