Banyana drawn against Guinea



Banyana Banyana have been drawn against hosts Equatorial Guinea in the eighth edition of the African Women's Championships from October 28 to November 11.

The draw was released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday.

The South African Senior Women's National Team is in Group A along with Equatorial Guinea, Senegal and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Group B consists of Nigeria, Cameroon and Ethiopia.

Banyana Banyana will open their campaign against Equatorial Guinea on October 28 at the Nouveau Stadium in Malabo. Kick-off is at 2.30pm.

In the second match, South Africa will take on Senegal three days later at the Nkoantoma Stadium in Bata, also kicking off at 2.30pm.

The final group stage fixture against DRC takes place at the Nkoantoma Stadium on November 3.

The top four countries will contest the semifinals on November 7.

The final will be played on November 11 at 5.30pm, and will be preceded by a third-place play-off, which kicks off at 2.30pm.
