Kadi’s hot form continues

Calvin Kadi scored his sixth goal in just 10 starts for Greek second tier side Veria at the weekend.

Kadi netted in the 2-1 victory over Agrotikos Asteras that keeps his side level on points at the top of the table with Platanias.

The 24-year-old has now scored in consecutive matches for his side, and has three in his last five games.

The former BidVest Wits striker netted just one goal in 23 appearances for Portuguese top-flight team Portimonense last season, though to be fair he was used out on the wing.

He has found goal-scoring much easier in Greece though and in recent weeks has moved ahead as the top-scorer of all South African stars playing abroad.

His six goals are two ahead of Daylon Claasen who has netted four times for Belgian side Lierse, and Bradley Grobler, who has the same number for Turkish side Goztepe.

Keaghan Jacobs has netted three times for Scottish side Livingston, as has Dino Ndlovu for Israeli outfit Bnei Yehuda.

Andrew Surman also has three goals for English Premiership Norwich City, all scored from his left-wing position.
