Tornadoes face Kaduna Pros

Nigerian top-flights, Niger Tornadoes will conclude their preseason matches for the upcoming season against Kaduna Professionals.

The friendly encounter holds on Wednesday at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) in Kaduna.

The Minna outfit were held to 1-1 draw by Demba Academy on Monday while the clash against top-flight newcomers, Gombe United ended goalless on Tuesday in Kaduna.

Tornadoes head coach, Abubakar Bala said the clash against Kaduna Professionals is a mere formality as his side have achieved their purposes in the preseason’s build-ups.

“The clash against Kaduna Professionals is merely formality as we just want to fulfil all righteousness as well as satisfied the organisers.

“We are unlikely to feature a strong squad against Kaduna Professionals as we are already satisfied as well as met our targets as far as the preseason’s build-ups are concerned.

“However, while we will play cautiously we hope to play well to protect our hard-earned image.

“I believe we have achieved 85% mark to commence our campaign for laurels in the upcoming top-flight.

“Finishing and goal scoring are yet 100% perfect but we hope to fall back on some rookies to deliver the goods.

“I think we are ready to kick-start the league as well as the first season’s clash at Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC.

“We are quite hopeful and positive to pick a decent result in the encounter,” said the former FC Lokoja coach to supersport.com.

Tornadoes are the guests of the Olukoya Boys in Sunday’s NPFL matchday 1 clash at the Agege Township Stadium in Lagos.
