It should have been Moses - Oliseh

Former Nigerian captain, Sunday Oliseh is not sure the technical study group of Caf got it right after Burkina Faso winger, Jonathan Pitroipa was named as 2013 Afcon player of the tournament.

Pitroipa played a starring role as he inspired the Stallions to their first-ever Afcon final but Oliseh insists Nigeria forward, Victor Moses should have been awarded the accolade.

“For me, Moses is the player of the tournament. Not because I am a Nigerian or because I like him. His technical appreciation of the game is something to behold. He is my player of the tournament,” Oliseh said.

Moses was however included in the team of the tournament by the Caf technical study group.

Four other Nigerians, John Obi Mikel, Vincent Enyeama, Emmanuel Emenike and Efe Ambrose made the tournament XI.

The other players in the team include Burkina Faso defender Bakary Kone, Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan, Cape Verde captain, Nando Neves.
