Giwa gears up for Jos derby

Nigeria National League (NNL) club, Giwa FC have confirmed to supersport.com their willingness to inflict heavy defeat on their city rivals, Plateau United on Wednesday.
Both sides will go head-to-head at the Rwang pam stadium, Jos in an NNL matchday 8 fixture.
The duel originally slated to hold on Sunday, but was postponed to Wednesday owing to the Super Eagles final engagement with Burkina Faso at the 2013 Afcon which the Eagles won 1-0 in South Africa.
Last season, Giwa FC were superb as they garnered the six maximum points from Plateau United and they are ready to repeat such twinkling performance again this term.
Giwa FC's captain, Sunday Omolade is now confident that Plateau United would have no room to escape when they meet on Wednesday.
“The match is not a war as we are not scared of Plateau United, we beat them twice last season and we would repeat that feat again,” he said to supersport.com.
The 24-year-old former Akwa United man is also optimistic that Giwa FC would campaign next season in the Nigeria's top flight football.
“We have promised our proprietor the premier League ticket at the end of the season, and we would make sure that nothing would stop us to fulfill our pledges,” he explained.
Giwa FC currently occupy fourth position on the standings on 11 points, while Plateau United top the group on 14 points.
