Bees out to sting Sokoto

Ranchers Bees' centre-back and captain, Abdulrasheed Muktar, has said his side will recover dropped points to TEAP FC when they face Nigeria National League (NNL) opponents, Sokoto United in Sokoto on Saturday.

The Kaduna-based side were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Redeemed Church-sponsored Abuja side, TEAP FC at the Kaduna Township Stadium to maintain a poorly 10 points from a total of 12.

Muktar said his side have perfected plans to recover not only the points they lost at the weekend to the Abuja-based side but add more points to their current haul.

"We're working very hard to recover the points and add more points to what we have already. That could only happen if we pick full points against Sokoto United as well as win more road and home matches.

"We're confident things have not gone too bad for us, as the league season is still fresh. We'll bounce back to reckoning in no distance time.

"What happened in the game against TEAP FC was sheer hard luck as that would be the first time in nine years we'll draw at home. We're disappointed and decided to put the sad incident behind us. We'll make it up," the captain of the side said to supersport.com.

The Ranchers Bees' strongman said Sokoto United are a tough side but insisted experience will give his side the edge in the encounter.

"Sokoto United are a good side to have won all their home matches as well as an away draw, we won't underrate them. We have experience to fall back on when we face them on Saturday. We're going to Sokoto for football war, and for the maximum points," he said.
