Ofili tests US waters

ABS midfielder, Christian Ofili is currently in the USA trying out among the 2013 United Soccer Leagues (USL) drafts.
Ofili, whose name was listed in the rosters for the USL Pro Combine announced on Thursday, began his test with Team 6 coached by Billy Steele and Mark Litton on Friday.
US-based football agent, Kingsley Chukwuemeka, informed supersport.com that Ofili is one of seven midfielders in Team 6 of the USL Pro Combine holding at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
"Christian Ofili is in Florida now and he is in the rosters for the USL Pro Combine. This is like trying out at a club for a new season. The player have been put in six teams that will take part in this year's USL Pro Combine. The USL is like the second division behind the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Chukwuemeka said Ofili will wait till the end of the start of the new week to know the outcome of his involvement in the USL Pro Combine in Florida.
The USL and MLS have entered into a new partnership could lead into expansion and the like of Ofili could benefit from the charter by playing for one of the clubs.
Ofili featured for ABS last term in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) and was also a frequent fixture in the Super Eagles' build-up to the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
