Plateau United striker, Daddy Maurice is hoping to put in a superb display in the Jos derby in the Nigeria National League (NNL) this weekend.
Mighty Jets play hosts to Plateau United in one of NNL's biggest derby games of this season at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos on Saturday.
Maurice, who is the top scorer of Plateau United so far this term, is braced up for the big derby in Jos.
The former Dolphins' man is looking forward to replicating last weekend's performance against Zamfara United when he scored twice to hand his team the full points on Matchday 5 of the National League.
"It's going to be a tough game for us. Mighty Jets are our biggest rivals in Jos and we know what to expect from them. But I'm also ready to continue from my performance against Zamfara United last week and continue to score goals for Plateau United," said one of the three Maurice brothers in the Plateau United squad to supersport.com.
Plateau United are currently top of the Group A log in the NNL with 10 points and Mighty Jets are second on nine points.
Maurice is also keen to see Plateau United keep top spot after Matchday 6.
"Our aim is to win against Mighty Jets and remain top of the league table. We want to win as many games as possible so as to put ourselves in a good position to win promotion to the Premier League," said Maurice, who can also play as an attacking midfielder.
Maurice has scored three goals in four league appearances for Plateau United this season.
