3SC head to Ijebu-Ode for camp



NPL side, 3SC will head to Ijebu-Ode on February 2 for closed door camping.

The impending camp will be the final phase preparations heading to the February 16 commencement date of the 2011/2012 league season.

The Oluyole Warriors are expected to engage selected sides in series of warm up matches to properly assess its arsenal for the league hostilities.

The Ibadan-based side on Wednesday hammered Union Bank FC 3-1 in Ibadan as part of their final phase build-up for the start of the new Premier League season.

3SC midfielder, Azeez Shobowale said his side are putting every step right to ensure the side have a fruitful campaign in the coming season.

"We've been told that we'll head to Ijebu-Ode for close camping once it's confirmed the new season will start as scheduled on February 16.

"We're already looking forward to the date with keen interest as we'll further intensify our readiness for the new season.

"Of course, we'll play a series of friendly matches as part of our preparations.

"We just engaged Union Bank in a friendly match on Wednesday which we won 3-1 aside other matches.

"We're not going to leave any stone unturned in our effort to ensure we have a successful season.

"Those of us who joined the side newly are eager to hit the ground running as well as make strong impact in the side dream for laurels.

"I believe 3SC are ready for the season and will be the side to beat," said the former Dolphins' midfielder to supersport.com.

3SC struggled in most part of the 2011/12 NPL season but got fired up in the second round of last term.
