Plateau United forward, Reuben Bala has said his side's target is to take over leadership of the NNL Group A.
The Tin City team occupy the third spot on seven points from four matches behind city rivals, Mighty Jets and Giwa United on nine and eight points respectively.
Christopher Danjuma's team will be at home against Zamfara United in Matchday 5 at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos on Sunday.
Bala, who admitted Zamfara United are a difficult side, said however that his side are condemned to grab the three points at stake.
"We want to take over the group's leadership before Week Six and the encounter against Zamfara United affords us the chance toward achieving our aim.
"Zamfara United are a good side but we'll surely over power them and pick the three points.
"We're well prepared for the duel, the spirit among my colleagues is high, so I don't see the visitors escape thorough defeat," he said to supersport.com.
Bala disclosed the state registered four teams in the NNL hoping that at least two will gain promotion to the Premier League.
"We've four teams from Plateau State and they're doing well at the moment. Our prayer is that at least two will pick promotion ticket to the Premier League," he said.
Plateau United last weekend held hosts, Adamawa United to goalless draw.
