Agbaji blows off Super Four loss

Lobi Stars' defender, Anthony Agbaji has said the outcome of the NPL pre-season Super Four will not count in his side's Caf Confederation Cup campaign.
The Makurdi-based side garnered three points from three matches to finish poorly in third spot behind winners, Heartland and Kano Pillars at the four-day football fiesta that ended on Saturday.
Agbaji said it will be wrong to judge his side's strength and preparedness for the African challenge solely on their performances at the just concluded Super Four tournament in Kano.
"Of course, it won't be perfect to assess us with the pre-season Super Four tournament. Lobi are still a force to be reckoned with in the land. We threw away the title, we just didn't have a good outing.
"I assure you our performance at the Super Four won't count when the Confederation Cup or the league season start.
"The Super Four afforded us the opportunity to know our strength and weaknesses. We'll correct it before we start of the African campaign," he said to supersport.com.
The Lobi Stars' strongman admitted that the best side won the four-team tournament.
"The best team won the Super Four tournament and that's Heartland," he said.
Lobi resumed full camping on Monday ahead of the February 16 kickoff date for the 2012/13 NPL season.
