Crown have new focus

Crown FC forward, Nurudeen Alhassan has said his side have overcome their scoring problem that saw them fire blank against Abia Comets in Matchday 2 in Umuahia.

The Ogbomoso-based side are at home to Akure-based side, Rising Stars in an NNL Matchday 3 tie scheduled for Sunday in Ogbomoso.

Alhassan said Rising Stars should be ready to take at least three unreplied goals in the must-win encounter.

"We've overcome the shooting error that denied us victory in Umuahia against Abia Comets.

"Our attack is sharper and accurate and the proof will be unleashed on Rising Stars on Sunday. Rising Stars should be ready to concede two, three goals if not more than that margin.

"Of course, the three points are non-negotiable. No matter how hard they will pose we've trained hard specifically for them and I don't see any magic they will perform to escape a thorough beating," he said to supersport.com.

The former NPL side have picked three points from two matches and the free-scoring striker said for his side to achieve their laudable goal of promotion to the elite league they cannot afford any longer to concede points to opponents.

"We can't achieve our sole target of promotion to the Premier League by losing points to opponents.

"We've told ourselves the truth and we're now more resolved to fight for points both home and away.

"For us right now every match is a must-win irrespective of where it's played. Promotion to the elite league is a must for us," said the 2012 Federation Cup quarterfinalists hitman.
