Tornadoes out to trip United
Niger Tornadoes' goalkeeper, Mustapha Aliko has vowed to stop NNL Matchday 3 opponents, Plateau United from hitting his side's back of the net.
The encounter already tagged the toughest pairing of the season holds on Sunday at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos.
Aliko, whose side earned a 1-0 win against Kogi United in Matchday 2 in Minna, said his team's mission to the Tin City side is to pick their first away victory.
"We're going to Jos to pick the maximum points against Plateau United. Though we'll be satisfied with a draw but we're aiming for an outright win.
"I have the toughest job to perform in stopping the opponents from scoring as goalkeeper and captain of my side.
"This week's pairing will stand out as the toughest, Plateau United are a strong side and playing before their home fans will make them deadly but we have the magic wand to unsettle them.
"We're battle ready and won't mind spilling blood if need be to leave Jos unscathed," he said to supersport.com.
Aliko said his side's target is to end the season as number one in their group.
"Sure, our target is to end on the first spot and return to the Premier League where we ably belonged," he said.
Tornadoes who got relegated to the lower division after the 2011/2012 NPL season, have garnered three points from two matches.
