Sand Eagles ready to defend Copa

Head Coach of Nigeria's Sand Eagles, Adamu Audu has released the names of the final ten Players that will represent Nigeria at the second edition of the Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Championship.

The final list by Adamu witnessed the omission of some of the Players that were paraded at the Samsung intercontinental Beach soccer tournament last October in Dubai.

Dropped Players are Nelson Onyekachi (Warri Wolves) Emeka Ogbona (Owiseedi, Ojo, Lagos) Ambrose Onyema (Enugu Rangers) Abutu Adofu (NYSC, Enugu) Emmanuel Zabi (Makwanda United, Yola) and Isah Akor (Heartland).

The ten Players selected are Abdul Isah (Wikki Tourists) Oladapo Olalekan (Owiseedi, Ojo, Lagos) Isiaka Olawale (Dolphins) Ikechukwu Ibenegbu (Heartland) and Ogbonaya Okemiri (Kwara United).

Others are Victor Tale (Bassa United, Kogi) Abu Azeez (Bridge FC, Lagos) Sheu Maijana (Wikki Tourists) Babatunde Badmus (Owiseedi, Ojo, Lagos) and Emmanuel Owhoferia (Owiseedi, Ojo, Lagos).

Hosts, Nigeria, Argentina, Portugal and Lebanon are the four countries that will participate in this year's edition which is expected to take place at the Eko Atlantic Beach from this Friday to Sunday.

The Nigerian side, who are the defending Champions will face Lebanon in their opening game on Friday from 5:15pm Nigerian time.
