Nigerian striker, Obafemi Martins continues to prove his worth as an attacker to be respected in Spain’s La Liga as he notched up his sixth goal of the season on Sunday.
The former Inter Milan forward opened the scoring as Levante thrashed Real Mallorca 4-0 Ciudad de Valencia on Matchday 15 of La Liga.
Martins latched on to a long pass from midfield shortly before half time before rolling the ball past the Mallorca keeper, Dudu Aouate.
Further goals from Vicente Iborra, Garcia Santos and David Navarro completed a great day in the office for the Granotes which took them up to sixth in the La Liga standings with 24 points from 16 matches.
Martins has been in sparkling form for Levante this term following his summer switch from the Russian club, Rubin Kazan on a two-year deal, with an extending option for one more season.
The 28-year-old attacker has been capped 37 times at international level and has also scored 18 times for the Super Eagles.
